Transitioning from dating to relationship

Been dating around for more than a year now, and I recently started seeing a girl that I would like to have a relationship with. Yesterday she told me that she wanted me to stop seeing other people, reciprocating the sentiment. I agreed, and held her to the promise that she would commit to me, too.

To my understanding, I should be "breaking up" with the other girls that I am seeing. How do I communicate my decision with them? Was it the right move to agree to stop seeing other people? It seems that some articles on relationship advice encourage the man to keep his options open even when in a relationship so that the man doesn’t lose his “edge” or become otherwise complacent. Would love to hear advice and perspectives from the community.

My (27f) gf (27f) is getting tired of me not sharing intimate/ personal info about me

I’ve always been extremely private and introverted. My (23M) girlfriend (25F) relationship is confusing to me. I might be the problem, or maybe we are just incompatible.

I met my girlfriend after a few serious breakups that led me to change both intentionally and unintentionally over a few years. For better and for worse. She had just gotten out of an engagement with a verbally and physically abusive man who had a cocaine problem. We have been together about 8 months now.
