There's a guy I like, and my friends say he's sending me signals, but I'm unsure and would like to get an unbiased opinion

So some background to start off I suppose, I'm 15, very nearly 16, female, and he's 16. We're in 10th grade, and have known each other since 5th grade. We've had kind of a weird history. In 5th grade, he liked me. A lot. Even the teacher thought so, but I just thought he was really annoying because I didn't understand why he wanted my attention all the time. Then in 6th grade, we had basically the exact same schedule, and were seated next to each other in every class we had together. We're no where near each other in the alphabet. That was the beginning of a series of weird coincidences that culminated in me falling head over heels for him. And I thought he liked me too. He was always trying to find ways to touch me (not in a weird way, like he'd rest his foot on top of mine when we were seated) and he was always talking to me. We had a pretty good relationship for a while, and near the end of 7th grade I got up the nerve to ask him out. Which was stupid, because we were 12. XD. He said he wasn't allowed to date until high school, but he would definitely date me then. I had no clue he was actually blowing me off. He lost feelings for me in those next few months, and by the end of 7th we were no longer talking.

IF YOU WANT TO SKIP BORING BACKGROUND START HERE:

Now we're in 10th grade, and we started talking again because we eat lunch in the same room to get work done because we both really love that teacher. I usually get over people well, and don't have to worry about feelings coming back years later, but when I saw him in Nice Teacher's room for the first time, I knew there was a possibility that I still liked him. We talked at lunch for a while, and in the mornings before school sometimes too. Fast forward to second semester, our schedules changed and now we have math together. Again in some strange twist of fate, he's my partner, which means he sits directly across from me. We walk to our next class together sometimes too. There are sometimes when he approaches me, and jokes with me a lot, and other times he doesn't talk to me at all unless I initiate. There was one day when we were just doing work with our other two table mates, and his legs are really long because he's super tall, he leaned back in his seat just a bit, so that the inside of his thighs were just resting on the outside of mine, and just. left. them. there. We made eye contact when he initially put his legs there, but then we just kept working like nothing was wrong. It was a solid 2 minutes before we changed positions.

There are three possibilities, one, he likes me. Two, he thinks that I like him (I'm not very good at hiding feelings) and was just trying to confirm it. Three, he's leading me on or just being weird.

Sorry if this was long, here's TL;DR: what does it mean when you're seated across from the guy you like and he rests his inner thighs against your outer thighs for TWO WHOLE MINUTES??
