I need tips on Vaginismus

So I've started dating this great woman for some months. She is very sexual in her own way the small issue is that she has Vaginismus.

When we had sex last week she seemed to enjoy it at first but as I got slower, for obvious reasons (she is very tight) I could see in her face that she wasn't enjoying it so I stopped. She was in pain and had this very sad face, I guess it's because it didn't work out. She didn't want to be touched in any way or talk about it. I just told her that everything was fine but to be honest, I was not sure what to do to comfort her.

Later on I tried to distract her so I pointed out some pictures on her wall which seemed interesting and she started talking about them in her usual cheerful way again.

Does any of you good people have experience with this topic? I'd be glad to read anything about it, be it tips or just some story telling!
