My crush sending me mixed signals

I am an 18 year old highschool student who s had a crush on my hot colleague for some time now.4 days ago there was a big birthday party for another colleague and we were both invited. Prior to this party we texted for many days a lot, and she has shown a lot of interest sending me selfies and asking why I take too long to reply sometimes. Right before the party, she called me( i didn t give her my number, i dont know where she got it from) At the party there was some booze involved. At 2 am there some romantic music and I ve seen she and her bff talking and looking at me. We danced together for a while, she put her head on my shoulder and often grabbed to get closer to her. At the end of the dance I hugged her and kissed her forehead which she seemed to like. At 3 am I had to leave and she was looking sad and didn t want me to leave so early. One of my friends heard her talking with her bff about how I am dumb for leaving early and leaving her alone. 2 days passed and I decided to ask her out, I was 100% sure she liked me but then she took a lot to answer and just said:"umm i don't know we'll see".Most of my friends are saying these are bad signs and I cannot understand how can she dance with me for 1 hour in a very romantic fashion and then lose interest when asking her to go out. Am I over analyzing this ?

I’ve always been extremely private and introverted. My (23M) girlfriend (25F) relationship is confusing to me. I might be the problem, or maybe we are just incompatible.

I met my girlfriend after a few serious breakups that led me to change both intentionally and unintentionally over a few years. For better and for worse. She had just gotten out of an engagement with a verbally and physically abusive man who had a cocaine problem. We have been together about 8 months now.
