34 in oakland,Ca ltr minded only

I am curious what options exist for the lonely homesteader or individual living off grid and away from others?

I'm not living off grid just yet, however by 2021 or sooner I will begin building a forever home on a coupke acres in the US,preferably California,Oregan or Alaska. This is actually a dream come true for me, I'm 34 now and have been planning this since I got tired of the rat race. Ive already traveled and have experience in life Im ready to live my dream and start a family. For the last year or so I have been researching, and recently started to make actual changes in my life to pull the needed trigger and get the ball rolling.

Now, without revealing too much: I was in a long term relationship that ended after I moved to persue my life goals. My intentions back then are what they are now, and my girlfriend at the time had her own intentions and plans. Things were great however our goals were different and as such we parted ways mutually. I'm finding it very difficult to find anyone who has similar goals or visions for their future.I am not looking to find a partner who will be subservient but my equal.

What options do I have? I've tried the whole online dating thing and trying to find others interested in that lifestyle with no luck. While I am used to living alone as I have done so for the past ...many many years, I will soon be moving to a new area, secluded to live out most of my dream.

I've always just wanted some off the beaten path acreage, a nice little house that I built, a nice lady by my side, a good dog and a hammock. I've got the means to have all of that but one part of that equation is missing. :) If this post hit a nerve lets meet in person and talk more someday. perhaps rollerblading, ice skating, fishing or bowling. Anything other than netflix and chill or a cup of coffee.
