Amazing 1st date... waiting on date #2

Just had the most amazing First date in the middle of the week. I am 33f went out with a 33m and things went really well we went back to his place. I somehow really liked him after meeting him in one night and chatting for several days. He was such a gentleman the whole time and I was the one that elevated things to the next level of intimacy. Did I take it too far? We got along really well on what felt like a soul-connection (IMO) and he texted the next morning on what he insists we should do on our next date (watch a specific film we talked about) at his place, after stating that he had a really nice evening with me. Since then, the frequency of his messages has dropped off. I guess I’m new to dating apps and before we met, it was constant texting for consecutive days with good morning and good night greetings. Is it just me looking too far into this, or could I have done something to turn him off, or is this part of ‘the game’. My friend says this is what it’s like in nyc dating and brother say to wait for him to text me next. ??

The difference between being right and being understood

My (23M) girlfriend (25F) relationship is confusing to me. I might be the problem, or maybe we are just incompatible.

I met my girlfriend after a few serious breakups that led me to change both intentionally and unintentionally over a few years. For better and for worse.
