Just got left on read

Okay so I'm talking to this girl and she just left me on read. We've been talking a lot for the past couple days and we weren't really conversing just sending pics back and forth on snapchat, which kind of makes sense why she may have rnr'd me. What I'm confused about is that she seemed really interested also, constantly sparking up conversation, asking how my day was etc. Now, I can see that she is active on snapchat but has left me on read for 3 hours. Do I be the person to snap her first or do I wait for her to message? I feel like this can go somewhere but her leaving me on read is giving me solid second thoughts. Any help is appreciated!

I’ve always been extremely private and introverted. My (23M) girlfriend (25F) relationship is confusing to me. I might be the problem, or maybe we are just incompatible.

I met my girlfriend after a few serious breakups that led me to change both intentionally and unintentionally over a few years. For better and for worse. She had just gotten out of an engagement with a verbally and physically abusive man who had a cocaine problem. We have been together about 8 months now.
