(28M) As we’re quickly approaching 2020 in the next few days, how is everyone leveling up their dating life next year?

For me, i’m just going to go out more and enjoy myself with or without friends because it seems like the more you try hard at dating whether it’s IRL or OLD, the less likely you are to get matches and go on actual dates. I’d rather just let the universe take the wheel and let everything fall into place. Now I know that’s more reactive versus proactive but at the same time you don’t want to be so focused and consumed on dating. Because let’s face it, OLD/IRL dating is fucking EXHAUSTING! I don’t care who had it easier or harder back in the day it just sucks in general. It’s like trying to find a needle in a haystack, I’m not saying it’s impossible to find your partner but it takes a toll on you. Too much swiping, too much of the same ON EVERY DATING PROFILE “make me laugh”, we’re not all circus seals and news flash some people aren’t all that funny...so try again... “must love dogs” like that’s a personality trait?! REALLY LADIES?! And my personal favorite, references from the office “looking for a Jim to my Pam”, I got it yes it’s a great show but let me see something interesting/original from YOU! So I don’t know if anybody feels the same way or maybe you have a different strategy in navigating the world of dating or you probably said fuck it I’m taking a break because of cuffing season and all of this other societal pressure from friends and/or family.

My (27f) gf (27f) is getting tired of me not sharing intimate/ personal info about me

I’ve always been extremely private and introverted. My (23M) girlfriend (25F) relationship is confusing to me. I might be the problem, or maybe we are just incompatible.

I met my girlfriend after a few serious breakups that led me to change both intentionally and unintentionally over a few years. For better and for worse. She had just gotten out of an engagement with a verbally and physically abusive man who had a cocaine problem. We have been together about 8 months now.
