is he interested or not?

So basically I met an old acquaintance of mine 3 weeks ago at a birthday party and let me tell you something he got reallyyyy handsome and we got along really well. We didn't have any deep talk or anything but he made me laugh and I got interested. Anyways 1 week ago he texted me out of nowhere and I literally screamed out of happiness, because I would have never expected that. It was small talk (which was kinda cute but also kinda awkward) , that ended, when I went to bed. Two days later he texted me again and we talked a little more comfortable. That conversation also ended, but in a good way. It's been like 4 days and I haven't heard of him. I'm wondering, if he's expecting me to text him or if he just lost interest? I'm a coward when it comes to stuff like this. I've never experienced something like this and never had a boyfriend. Please help me, I need advice.
