Dominatrix girlfriend is very submissive to me

My gf (30) and myself (29m) have been dating for a few months now. It's been a bit of a whirlwind romance, we're very happy with each other emotionally and physically. We started talking about our past relationships recently, and she told me she was always the dominant one and liked to be in control. However, with me it's the total opposite. She becomes very submissive and wants me to lead. I've had very few sexual encounters before I met her, so my experience is lacking, but I do my best to become the aggressive man she wants out of me. I'm just unsure of the dynamic. If she's been a Dom before me, what would cause her to change suddenly with me? Would it feel unnatural for her? She doesn't open up much about it, she just assures me she only wants to please me. So I figured I'd ask this lovely subreddit for advice. Please leave your thoughts!
