My boyfriend loves having his toenails painted and I think it’s the cutest thing ever
My (20F) boyfriend (19M) comes from a Mexican, very machismo-oriented family (men don’t cry, cook, or clean - only women do), and he’s proud of his culture, as he should be, but it has definitely caused a lot of problems for him. He doesn’t know how to show emotions well and has spent a long time trying to break out of masculine stereotypes. A few months ago, I was painting my nails and jokingly asked if I could paint his toenails since they’re not visible (he only wears tennis shoes). He said yes and discovered he loves how it looks and makes him feel. He just asked me if we could do each others’ nails when I get home from work and I got the biggest grin on my face. I think it’s adorable and I love that he’s not stopping himself from something he enjoys, even though it’s considered very feminine. I love him so much and it’s a nice show of how much he’s progressed in his confidence
