Did I shoot myself in the foot?

I matched with this girl on an app last night and straight away started messaging. We were going back and forth instantaneously, both of us with long, detailed messages. I thought we were vibing pretty well, had similar interests etc. She was curious and inquisitive about me also.

In her last message she apologised for having to send multiple shorter messages rather than one massive one because her phone was playing up on the app. So when I messaged back I included my actual phone number if she was keen to continue texting on there. Since then... silence. Now I’m worried I may have asked for the phone number too soon.

Would it be lame to message her again tonight if she hasn’t messaged me? Maybe even acknowledge i asked for her number too soon and hope it wasn’t a big deal? I realise that asking for a number may be too forward for early on messaging but I wasn’t really thinking straight.

Normally i don’t care about ghosting but for some reason I really liked what I saw of this person.

Of course I’m probably irrational since my last message was at midnight and It’s only morning now 🙄

My (23M) girlfriend (25F) relationship is confusing to me. I might be the problem, or maybe we are just incompatible.

I met my girlfriend after a few serious breakups that led me to change both intentionally and unintentionally over a few years. For better and for worse.
