My boyfriend doesn't want me to masturbate, should I lie about it? Or is he right?

We live together. Shortly after I moved in he asked me to ask permission to masturbate. That was fine, so I did. He basically always said yes. A few times he wasn't available to ask so I masturbated anyway. I later confessed, and he said it was fine. But then it happened again and I confessed again. At this time he admitted he never liked that I masturbated anyway, and he doesn't masturbate, and would really prefer if I didn't. He really doesn't, I promise. So it's not a double standard. So anyway I reluctantly agreed and didn't masturbate for a whole year.

I asked if we could buy a vibrator so he could use it on me, and he said no, and used the example should we get a fleshlight for you to use on me? To try to convince me using a toy would be weird. I just wanted it so he could get me off faster, it takes like 30 minutes with his hand.

Recently I gave in and haven't stopped since, though I do feel bad. What should I do?

My (23M) girlfriend (25F) relationship is confusing to me. I might be the problem, or maybe we are just incompatible.

I met my girlfriend after a few serious breakups that led me to change both intentionally and unintentionally over a few years. For better and for worse.
