Im surprised that a guy didn't expect that we would have sex and instead we just cuddled.

So I went to town with my flatmate and she was trying to set me up with one of her guy friends, I've met him a couple times and we get along quite well and me being drunk I was like fuck yea I want to get with him. He was very shy so it took a while to lead up to as we were walking around he was making sure I didn't get split up from them and he held my hand and then bought me a drink. we ended up making out and dancing and there was a little bit of touching (me rubbing him up and him grabbing my boobs and stuff like that) he decided to walk me home and came up for some water and he started to fall asleep so I said he could stay the night if he wanted. Now I thought this would lead to sex but I'm quite surprised it didn't. I generally thought if a guy came home with you he would expect that you would have sex but he didn't which is actually really nice to me. Anyway he ended up staying at mine and he just cuddled me all night and then this morning me and my flatmate and him just sat in the lounge for like 4 hours chatting and it wasn't weird or anything. I'm just so surprised that he didn't expect that we were going to have sex and then he just cuddled me all night which I really enjoyed.

My (23M) girlfriend (25F) relationship is confusing to me. I might be the problem, or maybe we are just incompatible.

I met my girlfriend after a few serious breakups that led me to change both intentionally and unintentionally over a few years. For better and for worse. She had just gotten out of an engagement with a verbally and physically abusive man who had a cocaine problem. We have been together about 8 months now.
