I am a shy guy . How can I beat being shy and anxious?

I am 14yo. Sadly I am very shy (especially around girls) and pretty anxious . Can I do anything about those 2 things? Also want to ask a girl out. I am very anxious and also have a low self-esteem because of my dad. He always calls me a pussy , dumbass, retarded,idiot,sucker,hoe,hooker, but I am not any of those. I control myself very well even in stress situation and I am a very good student (one of the best in my school)
