Why would a guy ask for a girl’s number and then not contact her?

Okay. So I (22F) met this guy (25) many months ago while working at this job. It was of a more temporary job for me. I never noticed him until I noticed he would stare at me and then I was like “oh he’s kinda cute” 😂 but we never talked much. Once during a night out with co workers, he approached me and we ended up dancing all night and he added me on Snapchat that night but we still didn’t talk much, if anything, we spoke even less after this lol. After I left we didn’t speak at all, only when he wished me a happy birthday through Snapchat.

Anyways, fast forward to last week, we ran into each other at a club anddddd we danced again all night! This time though, we left together (we came with different people) and we just talked for the rest of the night until it was like 5 in the morning when he finally dropped me off. Before leaving, he asked me to call myself through his phone. He had lost my phone earlier so I thought he had simply forgotten that he had found it so I was like “oh no I have my phone already”. But then he said “come on don’t tell me you didn’t have fun I had a good time” so i called myself through his phone and he says “you can put me in as whatever you want” so I say “okay I’ll put you in as ‘the guy from (place where we worked)”. And then I proceeded to go inside and have a good day long nap.

My thing though is that....he hasn’t contacted me and it’s been a week. I’m just confused?? He couldn’t keep his hands off me, he was giving me neck kisses while we were dancing, and he was doing everything for me. His car even broke down because he left the ac in his car running so I could nap in his car comfortably!! He did say he works every day of the week because he likes to work but idk I’m about to delete his number but of course I had to ask reddit first sooo what’s up? Why would a guy ask for a girl’s number and not contact her?

TLDR: old co worker and I have great night, then basically no contact for months, and then another great night (this time more sober) he asked for my number but hasn’t contacted me since.
