Sometimes actions don’t speak louder than words

I’ve been casually seeing a guy for a while now and he said he wasn’t looking for a relationship and wanted a FWB(what we have is not FWB lmao it definitely is more of a situationship). Anyways, he has done a lot of things that have confused me like coming to my bday party, getting along great with my friends, showing pda(arm around me, holding my hand, etc) in front of my friends. Then when I was at home for a couple months he’d text me saying you gotta hurry back we gotta hang out soon. Once I’m back small things like this continued like he offered to help me move out in a couple weeks, we were supposed to go out to a bar and he suggested we bring our friends which in and of itself I found a bit weird. And when we went out last night, he was showing full on pda in front of his friends who before last night didn’t even know I existed. When stuff like this has happened before I’ve brought it up and each time he tells me he’s not looking for anything serious, so this time I decided to nkt read into it and not even bother having a convo with him cuz I knew how the conversation would end.

So moral of the story is if someone tells you they don’t want a relationship, no matter how they act, they are likely not going to change their mind. So, in cases like this, actions do not speak louder than words.

I’ve always been extremely private and introverted. My (23M) girlfriend (25F) relationship is confusing to me. I might be the problem, or maybe we are just incompatible.

I met my girlfriend after a few serious breakups that led me to change both intentionally and unintentionally over a few years. For better and for worse. She had just gotten out of an engagement with a verbally and physically abusive man who had a cocaine problem. We have been together about 8 months now.
