Just got told by my best friend (23f) that she is legitimately thinking about pursuing a religious life. And I (22m) am okay with that.

So I recently had a conversation with a someone is one of the most genuine people I have ever met and who is a very close friend that she will be pursuing a religious life. She brought it up because she didn't want me waiting for her if I was looking to date her. Now, before you start saying that she is just being pretentious, we did try the whole dating thing, but it was around when covid first hit, and it just wasn't the right time for either of us. She is also very religious and is very passionate about it.

I am so glad to have met someone so honest about themselves that they would rather take the hard road and tell you straight up than drag you along on a string. It feels great to have someone tell me why they do not want to date or mislead instead of confuse the hell out of me. I'd just like to make a suggestion all of those in a relationship or currently talking that you be upfront about yourself and what you expect, because, even if it might hurt in the moment, it usually (with exceptions) ends with a way better outcome.
