Wife upset after 1 week of no sex

My wife and I are in our mid 30s with a 2.5 year old. I am a shift worker (meaning I work days and nights alternating) and she is a stay at home mom. Tonight, as I was laying down with her to help her sleep and I would stay up doing laundry and cleaning, she got upset that it has been exactly 1 week since we last had sex and this is unacceptable. 1 week is our average but sometimes up to 2 weeks. I'm on nights now so it just makes it a bit more difficult. She suddenly thinks I'm talking to someone else while I'm on nights just cause we haven't had sex in a week. What can I do?

I’ve always been extremely private and introverted. My (23M) girlfriend (25F) relationship is confusing to me. I might be the problem, or maybe we are just incompatible.

I met my girlfriend after a few serious breakups that led me to change both intentionally and unintentionally over a few years. For better and for worse. She had just gotten out of an engagement with a verbally and physically abusive man who had a cocaine problem. We have been together about 8 months now.
