I can see the queer allegory. Like any other movie which has an outcast of some sort. But I fail to see the romance. Same with any boy girl friendship that some would see as a romance.

I just watched the Goonies with my kids, and there's a part where Sloth kisses Chunk. They tell each other or show often that they like eachother. I never heard of anyone shipping "Chloth" anywhere loll
