I use scented soap to wash my vagina. Am I alone in this? If I don’t get infections, why is it still so bad?

I made a throwaway to ask. 22f, I’ve had one, MAYBE two yeast infections in my entire life with no other infections ever, and I’ve always washed myself with scented soap. I read about women struggling with infections all the time on reddit and how it’s a HUGE no-no to use soap down there. I don’t go into my actual vagina, but between the vulvar folds and what not... I like to smell really good. Why is this so bad? Are there other women out there who do this and DONT get infections? Also, as a bisexual female, literally every time I’ve gone down on another woman, they’ve smelled dirty to me and don’t seem to care about “freshening” up before sex. Why does it seem so rare for other women to want to be “fresh” and smell nice?
