I think my birth control may be killing my sex drive. Seeking advice because I want it back.

I’m a 25 year old female in a super healthy long term relationship and I have sex regularly. I enjoy the sex we do have while it’s happening, but I really miss being excited about it.

I’m on a birth control called Viorele. I’ve been on this for about 6 years and it works great for me. No mood swings, light cycles, no weight gain. It’s all regulated.

Stopping birth control is not an option. IUD is also not an option as I’ve heard nothing but bad experiences about it from people I’m close to. I also exercise regularly.

Has anyone ever dealt with this? Has anyone changed birth control pills and found this to improve? Has anyone found a natural way to boost your sex drive? I’m going to make an appt and talk to a gyno about my options, but I thought I’d come here first.

I’m very nervous to switch up birth controls because this works so well for me. Besides this terrible side effect.

ANY advice is greatly appreciated.
