What would do in my scenario to ask/talk to the girl

Hi guys, my scenario is that I don’t know how to get the chance to talk to a girl. Wait, let me explain. We are in a class together, however, the students are split into groups. It would be weird if I just left my group to talk to her. In addition, it would be weird to ask her to hang out and do homework that is specialized for your group. Question is what would you do in order to get an excuse to talk to her? M(23) and F(21)? I think

My (27f) gf (27f) is getting tired of me not sharing intimate/ personal info about me

I’ve always been extremely private and introverted. My (23M) girlfriend (25F) relationship is confusing to me. I might be the problem, or maybe we are just incompatible.

I met my girlfriend after a few serious breakups that led me to change both intentionally and unintentionally over a few years. For better and for worse. She had just gotten out of an engagement with a verbally and physically abusive man who had a cocaine problem. We have been together about 8 months now.
