My crush is confusing the hell out of me. Can anyone help me understand him?

So, I'll start with signs he might like me. My friend believes that these are all possible signs.

1. He asks me to high five him randomly. There's no context, he just asks me to. I ask him why, but he doesn't really reply, so I just high five him.

2. He always asks me to play a mobile game with him. We used to play it last year and he asks me to 1v1 him. He'll bring it up a lot when he's around me, always teasing me for losing.

3. We ride the bus together sometimes. Yesterday I ended up standing next to him and he talked to me. Someone left, so there was an open seat and he asked me if I wanted to sit.

4. Later on the bus, more people left (we get off at the last stop) and he ended up sitting with his sister. There was a seat in between them and he patted the seat, asking me if I wanted to sit.

5. So his sister was on the bus too, and they needed to go on another bus after the one we were on. His sister suggested they get off a stop earlier to get to that bus stop, but he refused. He told his sister she can go by herself. I told him that he should go with her instead of leaving her alone, but he still refused. So they both stayed on the bus for an extra stop, where we all got off the bus.

6. There's only a few girls in our class so we sit together (we are a cohort so we have the same classmates in every class), and he recently started coming to the 'girls table' a lot. He also says hi to me pretty much every time he sees me.

Things that confuse me:

1. He's very close with my best friend. Apparently it seems like they're flirting with each other. I'm not jealous though because I know my best friend has a bf. He talks to her more than me.

2. He asked my best friend if I was lying about something I told him. I have been nothing but honest to him so I was really confused. Does he not trust me?
