My friend is a junior in high school (she just turned 16) and is in a long-distance relationship with a senior who is 18. I'm concerned that this relationship could become predatory. Should I tell a school counselor or authorities about this?

They met a little over a year ago and live a 3-hour drive away from each other. My friend just turned 16 and is really naive about relationships. Although this isn’t her first relationship, I’ve noticed a few red flags about her behavior. First, she openly talks about how she wants to get back together with her ex but being with this guy is “simpler”. Second, she’s been lying to him about her parents’ profession and income. Of course, she’s not obliged to tell him these things, but he never asked, she just proactively lied to him. Third, she takes advantage of his willingness to spoil her. He’s spent thousands of dollars on gifts for her and train rides to see her and she never reciprocates with affection or effort. He is 18 years old and she’s barely 16. I’m afraid that this relationship is toxic for both of them and could be illegal. Should I anonymously tell the school or law enforcement?

My (23M) girlfriend (25F) relationship is confusing to me. I might be the problem, or maybe we are just incompatible.

I met my girlfriend after a few serious breakups that led me to change both intentionally and unintentionally over a few years. For better and for worse.
