(20F) I want to have sex so bad but I genuinely feel like it’s okay for everyone except for me
I grew up in a very conservative household where premarital sex was treated like a crime. Now that I’m in college, I have been able to explore my sexuality on my own (watching porn and masturbating) a bit more since I have more privacy. Some of my friends have told me that maybe I just need to wait until I’m in a relationship to have sex but I genuinely just want to fool around casually. I’ve downloaded dating apps and even posted random sexy pics to work up the courage, but I still get this overwhelming feeling of anxiety when I picture myself actually having sex. For people who have a similar family background as me and have had similar feelings regarding sex, how did you overcome the feelings of shame?
