"Playing games" with women?

What are your thoughts on this? I was always under the impression that you should be honest and yourself with a girl you're interested in. I recently had a conversation with a friend who told me she preferred to play games and have guys play games with her, most importantly to build "seduction". She said that if you're too direct, you risk that person taking advantage of that or you get bored early on. I know the answer might be well she's not the one, but I mean, what if she is lol?

I get that you should somewhat be mysterious (but not too much) with your intentions and keep her guessing but I'm not understanding the full scope of what that means. How do you as a guy "seduce"? , How do you "play games" or should you even?

My (27f) gf (27f) is getting tired of me not sharing intimate/ personal info about me

I’ve always been extremely private and introverted. My (23M) girlfriend (25F) relationship is confusing to me. I might be the problem, or maybe we are just incompatible.

I met my girlfriend after a few serious breakups that led me to change both intentionally and unintentionally over a few years. For better and for worse. She had just gotten out of an engagement with a verbally and physically abusive man who had a cocaine problem. We have been together about 8 months now.
