In your experience, does sex have a smell?

I have never discussed the smell in question with any partners, and I can't think of anything that it smells like.

Is it the scent of something actually present, or is it like how you might taste blood in your mouth when you push your body to the limit, though it isn't there?

Is it a hormonal thing?

Is it a sensation that seems like a smell, similar to how you can "smell" when it is cold?

I don't know.

I have tried to describe it to a friend, and he doesn't have a clue what I'm on about.

Any feedback would much much be appreciated.
