/u/CluelessAce83 on Honestly, even IM confused. It's understandable that they're like this. Them, like me, are also new to the whole me being ace thing. What's the most effective way to deal with it without being rude?

I view it as a superpower, not a disability. If there were people that could function perfectly, with no tradeoffs without sleep, would you also consider them disabled? Probably not, they'd be able to get so much more out of life, at the minor expense of not really understanding why people love sleep so much.

Similarly, by not being distracted by sexual attraction, I get so much more out of life, even if people find me weird and I am confused by their need for that feeling.

My (27f) gf (27f) is getting tired of me not sharing intimate/ personal info about me

I’ve always been extremely private and introverted. My (23M) girlfriend (25F) relationship is confusing to me. I might be the problem, or maybe we are just incompatible.

I met my girlfriend after a few serious breakups that led me to change both intentionally and unintentionally over a few years. For better and for worse. She had just gotten out of an engagement with a verbally and physically abusive man who had a cocaine problem. We have been together about 8 months now. We hit it off and spent a lot of time together but she began to push our relationship as if there were a time clock for milestones.
