Should I

Recently separated after 7 years of being with someone I 35F.this separation was coming for a long time I was emotionally detached from him for about 2 years before the separation and we are just waiting to sign the paperwork until the new year for tax purposes. Anyways-

I am not really ready to date.

I am however talking to another guy. He lives in another state 4 hours away and I’ve known him since I was 12. And we recently just re connected. I really like him. Problem is I can’t help but continue to talk to him even though I know it will never work out, it can never be more. We are planning on meeting up for a couple nights. Idk if I should because I don’t think I can handle knowing nothing more will ever come from this going forward and that hurts.
