Would it be too soon to know if you were straight? No, so it's clearly a double standard. When you're young, people will be quick to dismiss what you say, but I knew I was ace since I was 14 and I'm 21 now. What's important is that you get support from somewhere, even if it's not family, and people in the ace community will always stand by in support of you my friend.
