Worth asking her out?

I'm usually not really looking for a potential match at work. I like my job and don't want to get entrenched in a workplace romance gone bad.

There's this woman at work, single, who has been seeking my attention a lot. She's cute, funny and has a warm, caring personality. She's a bit more on the introverted side, but that's part of her charm.I noticed her but didn't think much of it because I try to block that stuff off at work.

I always come in late and stay late at work. When everyone has gone home I get most of my work done without interruptions. I noticed she changed her schedule to match that.On 3 occasions over the last 2 weeks she's come over to my desk when we're all alone and we've had long talks. I vibe really well with her, more than I expected. She's very easy to talk to and she opened up a lot, even though we've only been working at the same workplace for 2 months. Different departments, no shared projects or hierarchy, very sporadic actual work related contact. My employer has a very informal atmosphere at work.

Tonight I was finishing off a presentation when she came over to talk and spent 2h just talking away until 9pm when I had to head home.

Now I've never stuck around at work for so long on a Friday to talk to a coworker I don't really know that well. I’m taking it as a sign she wants to get to know me better.

Despite her being a coworker I want to give it a go and I am going to ask her out for a drink over the weekend to get to know her better and see what this might be or where it might be heading.

What're your thoughts without obviously knowing a lot about us. Think it's just friendly behavior from someone seeking companionship? Not asking what you would do since I made up my mind, but wondering what the community thinks about this subject.
