Thanks for elaborating! I'm glad it is helpful for you; I just personally find it alienating and insulting, given how my asexuality and aromanticism act as gulfs that isolate me. These are not the "gifts" that keep on giving, and as a multi-repulsed aro ace who has no real relationship prospects and worries about my future because of it, calling it a blessing feels insulting, and it leaves me thinking, "Wow, they really have no idea, do they?"
