24(F) first time dating and trying to make a move on someone

Last night my brother was at a bar for a friend's birthday. I ended up showing up with a friend. It was mostly people we all went to high school with. I remembered all of them except for one, who I didn't recognize at all. He was really attractive. He shook my hand when my brother introduced us. When he said his name I responded confirming what his last name was, to make sure I knew him from high school. I told him he looked nothing like I remembered him. My friend said "Is that a good thing or a bad thing?" And I just said "We'll find out!" Lmao 🤦🏻‍♀️

He and I glance at each other a few times. We are sitting at opposite ends of the bar. Later, I go over to my brother to ask him when he wanted to leave. He happens to be standing near this attractive guy. I am waiting for my brother to finish a conversation with someone else. The attractive guy and I are making eye contact and laughing over the conversation we are overhearing. Before I even get a chance to ask my brother what time he wants to leave, the attractive guy asks me something along the lines of "So what have you been up to?" He asks me this as if he knew me from before. But we have never actually spoken before. He was a grade older than me in high school and got kicked out of our Catholic school a few months after I started my freshman year. He and I spent the rest of the night talking, until the bar closes. I completely forgot that I was going to ask my brother a question. Our conversation was casual. I don't know if he was being friendly or if he was interested.

He was also the DD for the night and he agreed to drive my friend and I back to my friends place.

I added him on fb and we follow each other on Instagram now. It turns out he is a single dad, and he seems to really love his son and enjoy being a father. It only made him more attractive to me.

Should I reach out and see if he wants to spend more time together? Or should I see if he shows interest? I never know whether or not I am being too forward. Or if people can tell I'm interested but don't feel the same way.
