I’ve met a few irl, as well as discovering some of my friends online are ace years after meeting them. I joined a Discord server about a specific story on AO3 that was coincidentally full of ace people, even though that’s not what the server was for and none of them originally knew each other. I think the real problem is that ace people usually have to hide to avoid aphobia, and we don’t usually find out about our fellow aces unless we mention our own asexuality or notice some subtle ace merch they have.

I’ve always been extremely private and introverted. My (23M) girlfriend (25F) relationship is confusing to me. I might be the problem, or maybe we are just incompatible.

I met my girlfriend after a few serious breakups that led me to change both intentionally and unintentionally over a few years. For better and for worse. She had just gotten out of an engagement with a verbally and physically abusive man who had a cocaine problem. We have been together about 8 months now. We hit it off and spent a lot of time together but she began to push our relationship as if there were a time clock for milestones.
