Should I ask him out?

Became smoking buddies with a coworker (not worried about the job). We are very flirty always make excuses to touch and talk to each other. I am not sure whats going on because he has not asked me out or made any moves on me. It been around a month of us getting close should I wait to see what he does or ask him out?

Also I initiate a lot with him but he definitely reciprocates. So I’m not sure if he is just flirting for fun or if he might be interested
