I feel like a lack of a label and having a label are equally distressing and calming to me in different ways. Generally when I try to label myself it's for myself though. It's like having a label makes something feel more official, which creates more specific emotional responses to it while not having a label causes vague discomfort about a broader range of things.
So I'm not really sure which option is better.
