Is weight gain a turn off?

Over the past few months I gained about 10 pounds which doesn’t sound like a lot but as someone who’s 5’0 tall, that much weight starts to show easily. I’m at my heaviest I’ve ever been at 117 (I am in no way bragging). I’m 22 so I know my metabolism is starting to slow down and have been going to the gym regularly to combat it. But I’ve started to get stretch marks on my stomach and stomach rolls. Especially during missionary I can see all my stomach fat and so can my partner. My partner sometimes jokes around about me having a muffin top or whatever which is fine with me because it keeps me in check and motivates me at the gym. But I wonder if he mentions those jokes because it’s a joke-truth that he wants me to hurry and fix. We have had a downward slope in our sex life since I did gain weight. But I’m wondering, is my weight gain causing him to be less attracted to me? If your partner were to gain weight, is that a turn off and would it deter you from sex?

I’ve always been extremely private and introverted. My (23M) girlfriend (25F) relationship is confusing to me. I might be the problem, or maybe we are just incompatible.

I met my girlfriend after a few serious breakups that led me to change both intentionally and unintentionally over a few years. For better and for worse.
