Does moving to NYC for better dating make any sense?
I live in Atlanta, and dating here for the past several years has been miserable. Despite pursuing my interests and keeping an active calendar with social events/Meetups/classes, I never meet anybody I click with, and I have only had brief, months-long flings. I have literally run out of people to meet on the apps. Maybe unsurprisingly, the only longer things I've had over the past few years have been LDRs with women in other cities.
In about a year, I'll have the opportunity to either stay put or relocate to pretty much anywhere I want. Finding a good relationship is my top priority currently, and I've been considering moving to the Northeast, since I have the impression that dating in one's 30s is normal and easier there. In particular, I've considered NYC, although I have also heard extremely mixed reviews of the dating scene. I've heard that casual sex is a big part of it, so I should probably add that I'm actually looking for a serious relationship/settling down/kids.
Would love to hear any advice or experiences from people who are dating in NYC or the Northeast in general!
tl;dr Should I leave Atlanta for NYC/the Northeast to improve dating prospects?
