A potential hookup seems a bit sleazy so far. Am I overreacting?

It was his idea; I’m out of town and he wants to drive four hours over to stay the night. I was planning to screen him a bit by showing him around town and going for drinks beforehand, and talk to him and feel it out in the meantime.

Look, I know sex is the whole point of hookups—but I’m trying to see how this guy is outside of the bedroom first and so far it feels like talking to a twelve year old boy. We’ve barely covered any topics that he hasn’t turned into suggestive conversation or sex jokes. At one point he said “Lemme eat that ass” and immediately apologized, saying that the message was for his friend. (Hmmm)

I’m not necessarily expecting to share life stories with him of course, but at the same time it’s just getting a bit stale. Am I being too uptight? I’m trying to explore and venture out of my comfort zone, but this may be a bit far out of bounds.

My (23M) girlfriend (25F) relationship is confusing to me. I might be the problem, or maybe we are just incompatible.

I met my girlfriend after a few serious breakups that led me to change both intentionally and unintentionally over a few years. For better and for worse.
