So confused on what to do.

(This is gonna be long so sorry in advance) Both me (18M) and my crush (19F) play on an intramural volleyball team at our college together. Originally I thought she had a bf, and I had a gf at the time, so even though I thought she was pretty, I never showed her any signs of interest, but as the weeks went on I kinda had a feeling she might be into me. She would make a decent amount of eye contact and every time I spiked the ball really well she’d be the first to come over and high five me.

Fast forward a few weeks later, me and my gf at the time broke up so I did what any guy would do and redownloaded tinder. A few days later on a Friday me and her matched. I was completely not expecting that although I did kind of sense she was interested. So we texted back and forth a little bit for the following few days. I was like hey maybe you could show me around to some volleyball places in the area, I’m not too familiar with them. And she happily agreed, although that would have to wait until later. Monday night comes around and she asks me if I had plans that night. I explained I had a little bit of homework to do but asked her what she had in mind and she asked if I wanted to go watch the intramural games that were taking place that night with her (our team wasn’t playing that night). That day I was pretty tired (I wanted to make a good first impression) and I was actually planning on going to the games tomorrow to watch my friend play so I suggested we move it to tomorrow. She said she was planning on going to a different open gym to play volleyball but she canceled that to come hang out with me (I know I should’ve just gone with her on Monday but at least that’s a huge sign she likes me right?) She even said shes excited for tomorrow and sent a smiley face.

Tuesday rolls around and about 10 mins after the games start she comes over to me and my friend who were talking and asks us to hit around with her. We ended up hitting the ball around for an hour and a half which she got a blister on her foot from. Overall it went pretty well, I wish I got to talk to her a little bit more about stuff outside of just volleyball but it was difficult because my friend was there most of the time and we kept playfully teasing each other and slamming the ball at each other. She was laughing at all my jokes even if they weren’t funny and was smiling pretty much the whole time. At the end she said bye and I ended up walking her back to her dorm which was close to mine, we talked a little about other stuff, found out our birthdays are exactly one week apart and that she was planning on trying out for the actual team next year just like I was.

Everything seems to be going great, every sign she’s giving is hinting at her liking me. The only problem is her texting. Her texts are never dry, they’re never one word answers which is definitely good. However, she takes foreverrr to respond sometimes, and twice she’s just left me on read when I didn’t include a question. Her tinder profile does say she prefers in person communication, but it just doesn’t make sense.

Wednesday and Thursday I see her both days because we had games. On Thursday during on of the games she stole my normal spot and made me go in the back row behind her, of course more playful teasing and then we proceeded to go down 0-5 because of her so I didn’t let her hear the end of it 😂. We won all of our games and ended up winning the tournament so we all got shirts. She seemed pretty happy to be getting a shirt. We’re definitely the best 2 hitters on the team and when we’re both in the front it’s such a deadly duo and I even heard people commenting on it. My friend said every time she would do something good she would look my way and smile to see if I noticed.

So that brings us to today. Today is the first day of spring break so we’re both at home now. We live about 40 mins apart which isn’t too bad. The problem is she’s going away with her family on a trip during spring break, which means I won’t be getting to see her in person any time soon. This is a pretty big problem because of the texting situation. I mean there have been times in the past where we got a conversation going over text, so I guess I’ll try texting her, it just doesn’t make sense to me why she seems really into me irl but leaves me on read sometimes. Maybe I’m just overthinking it. She already agreed to drink with me and my friends after break and go to some new volleyball locations with me so there is still hope for the future, but it’s so hard to tell if she likes me when she leaves me on read. I was just wondering what you guys think I should do. Maybe I should try to FaceTime her? Maybe try to ask her why she swiped right on me so I know her true feelings about me? I’m not sure, let me know what you guys think I should do
