So I’m dating this guy

I’m dating this guy (very very early stages) and my best friend and him chat a bit on a continuous daily basis (they encountered each other when we met at parties and social events and I had introduced him to her and I mention her). Nothing out of the ordinary goes on in the conversations as I saw some of the texts and most of the time he talks about me and just silly regular small talk. However, it does irk me the fact that he gets to ask her stuff about me like where I’m going in the weekends etc. before me and there’s always a chance for him to learn things about me from her. I prefer him knowing all these things first hand from me. Similarly, he gets to tell her stuff before I know. I prefer if he comes to me first even tough these are little every day things however I rather not have it persist. Like what bugs me is that he gets to know that stuff from my friend before I get to tell him myself. And he comes asking me that same thing despite knowing the answer already. For instance like: what are the plans for the weekend. Something like this happened just two times only up to now but I can’t stand it and I wonder what goes on through his mind or why he does it. Like you don’t need to double check you know!! and you should’ve came to me first. - An insight on my thought process.

I barely even know who his friends are let alone talk to anyone of them on a daily basis. It’s good that he gets acquainted with my friends, I like that. I haven’t expressed this annoyance to either of them as I am scared I’ll come off as a psychotic girl who’s just jealous and insecure for the wrong reasons. Like i don’t think there is a right way to communicate this without being misunderstood because instantly one would think I’m being jealous about assuming that something is going on between my friend and him. We haven’t really got to that comfortable point and haven’t established anything serious it is really chill at this stage, since we just went on 3 dates, sporadically. So I’m secretly hoping their chat dies down soon before I lose interest in this guy.

Am I normal in being annoyed by this or being dramatic?

I’ve always been extremely private and introverted. My (23M) girlfriend (25F) relationship is confusing to me. I might be the problem, or maybe we are just incompatible.

I met my girlfriend after a few serious breakups that led me to change both intentionally and unintentionally over a few years. For better and for worse. She had just gotten out of an engagement with a verbally and physically abusive man who had a cocaine problem. We have been together about 8 months now.
