How did I handle this and should I keep my hopes up?
I cold approached a girl at my college and ended up going on a first date with her, the date was good, we connected on alot of things, maintained eye contact, held hands. We ended up making out a couple of times and she was the first to suggest that she was free in a couple of days to hangout again. Once the date was over, I ended up texting her later that night and said
“I don’t want to interrupt your studying but it was really great getting to know you and I’d love to do it again”, she replied a day later that she was busy all day and that she is busy with school and her acting classes and that she thinks that needs to be her main focus. I replied that “it’s no worries at all and I respect you for wanting to focus on your goals. I wish you all the best”
Maybe I could have left it open ended and tell her to let me know if she ever changes her mind, but I don’t know. I’m bummed because she was really cool and completely my type.
