How do I (15M) talk to a boy I really like (15M) that I barely know?

I've only been at my high school for about a month, but I'm madly in love with a boy that sits behind me in choir class, neither of us are really conventionally attractive, but I just think he's super cute (I'm closeted but he's openly bisexual). He's very quiet and shy, so I've only talked to him once (asking him to vote for me for school president, which he said yes to). We look at each other a lot during class, and wave to each other sometimes. I'm usually pretty loud and rambunctious, but I'm not great at talking with new people 1 on 1. How do I talk to this guy, not even to tell him I like him, but just to get to know him?

I’ve always been extremely private and introverted. My (23M) girlfriend (25F) relationship is confusing to me. I might be the problem, or maybe we are just incompatible.

I met my girlfriend after a few serious breakups that led me to change both intentionally and unintentionally over a few years. For better and for worse.
