Three dates in

I (F27) have been on three dates with a new guy (M32). We have fun together, he has continued to schedule dates with me and talks about wanting to hang out/future ideas for dates. We have both expressed we are into each other. We talk on the phone during the week, and text, but not constantly. On date three I tried to start touching his arm, being closer to him, as we have not kissed or anything yet. But I wanted to show I’m interested in touching. He also seemed to try touch me more, though it was a bit awkward. Later in the date, he held my hand in the car, but stopped shortly after. It was really awkward to me that he pulled away after being the one to reach for my hand. I felt like he didn’t like it or something?! Maybe he just felt weird. The exchange was exciting but awkward and I don’t know if I just suck at this, he’s not sure if he’s fully into me, or what! I’m hoping for smoother physical contact on date 4 this weekend. I guess I’m just wondering, is it okay that things are awkward or is it a bad sign?

The difference between being right and being understood

My (27f) gf (27f) is getting tired of me not sharing intimate/ personal info about me

I’ve always been extremely private and introverted. My (23M) girlfriend (25F) relationship is confusing to me. I might be the problem, or maybe we are just incompatible.

I met my girlfriend after a few serious breakups that led me to change both intentionally and unintentionally over a few years. For better and for worse. She had just gotten out of an engagement with a verbally and physically abusive man who had a cocaine problem. We have been together about 8 months now.
