Confused over guy’s texting habits

This man I’ve met online and have been texting to just randomly stoped texting one evening and I understand he can be busy for sure but it’s been nearly a week now. He’s been online plenty of times, including times we were online at the same time. I sent a few follow up texts but I feel dumb because I’m scared I annoyed him with the follow ups.

We didn’t argue, fight or anything. Our last message was literally about cats lol. I understand maybe he got bored but idk to completely halt one day like it’s nothing is so weird to me.

Last time he pulled something similar I just stopped texting him and then he hit me up out of nowhere and started to talk to me for a few days consecutively with both of us being pretty engaged.

It’s so sudden and random, I’m confused. Should I let him go for good or wait that maybe he replies. And last time when I asked if I did something wrong, all he told me was “nothing, life got busy”.

The difference between being right and being understood

My (27f) gf (27f) is getting tired of me not sharing intimate/ personal info about me

I’ve always been extremely private and introverted. My (23M) girlfriend (25F) relationship is confusing to me. I might be the problem, or maybe we are just incompatible.

I met my girlfriend after a few serious breakups that led me to change both intentionally and unintentionally over a few years. For better and for worse. She had just gotten out of an engagement with a verbally and physically abusive man who had a cocaine problem. We have been together about 8 months now.
