I just need help understanding this man

Hi! I (F18) was just in a situation-ship with a guy (M19) and I’m kinda confused how things ended and why they did.

I met this guy on a dating app and we immediately hit it off. We had many similarities with minor differences which seemed like a perfect balanced. He made it very clear he was looking for something serious which I was ok with. We made plans to see each other in a couple days from the , but once we found out that we love the same tv show he asked if I wanted to come over the next night and watch it with his roommates and him. I said yes and everything went wonderfully, we had a great time and I overheard his roommates talking about how they liked me. When I got home that night we kept texting and texting. This continued for the next couple of days, seeing each other everyday. He asked for my snap and I gave it to him. He’d send me random pictures throughout the day telling me how cute he thinks I am and how he hopes I have a good day. He always checked in on my and kept telling me how he can’t believe he “met such a great girl”.

Long story short, if you’ve heard the term “if he wanted too he would” well he did, brought me flowers, opened doors for me, made sure I was ok with everything.

He never pressured me on anything and so after bout the 4th date I slept with him but didn’t sleepover as I had classes the next day. He asked me if I wanted to sleep over the next night and I agreed. We didn’t do anything that night. The next morning he was very sweet but nervous and I asked why and he said well I want to make sure I had a good time and he wasn’t sure how to do that since I was the first girl he had sleep over. Another instance, his roommate over heard my roommate say he was using me just because I met him on an app in the dining hall. His roommate told me that he would never do something like that.

A few days later, he said he just wanted a casual relationship which I was fine with, but the next day he said he just wanted to be friends but wanted me to know I was “the most amazing girl he has ever met in his life”. It was such a switch, I was so a-taken back. He didn’t talk to me for a month, but suddenly he is swiping up on all my stories and trying to convince me to hang out with his roommates and him again as friends because apparently him and his roommates miss me?

I’m very confused. Idk if I have feelings for him after all this. I would just like some advice on what happened or what I did wrong?

I’ve always been extremely private and introverted. My (23M) girlfriend (25F) relationship is confusing to me. I might be the problem, or maybe we are just incompatible.

I met my girlfriend after a few serious breakups that led me to change both intentionally and unintentionally over a few years. For better and for worse.
