It helped me when I heard someone reframe asexuality as “a self-contained sexuality” rather than “a lack of sexuality”.

It’s about attraction— not libido, fantasies, or actions— attraction. You’re still a valid Ace even if you have a high libido (even if that’s all the time).

Also, even if you were something other than Ace, there’s nothing to feel guilty about. You’re allowed to use labels, and you’re free to keep them or change them according to how they serve your needs. And you’re allowed to hang out with and identify with Ace people on and offline even if you don’t identify as Ace.

But yeah, you can totally be Ace with a high libido, and I totally get the imposter syndrome. You’re still valid! 💜♠️👽

I’ve always been extremely private and introverted. My (23M) girlfriend (25F) relationship is confusing to me. I might be the problem, or maybe we are just incompatible.

I met my girlfriend after a few serious breakups that led me to change both intentionally and unintentionally over a few years. For better and for worse. She had just gotten out of an engagement with a verbally and physically abusive man who had a cocaine problem. We have been together about 8 months now. We hit it off and spent a lot of time together but she began to push our relationship as if there were a time clock for milestones.
