Secretly marrying my soulmate tomorrow. Can anyone share their experiences?

We have been together on and off for about 12 years. We have two children together. In our younger years we both did things that were not proud of and we were immature enough about it to tell our families. Talk badly about each other to our families. So here we are 12 years later and finally decided the time is now to make our relationship forever. We are ready.

But my family hates him. And his family hates me. All because of the past. Neither side seems to budge. But him and I are happy.

Tomorrow afternoon we are going to the courthouse and bringing our two children and we are getting married. We don’t plan to tell anyone.

Has anyone done this that would care to share their story? I am so excited and trying to focus only on our happiness and nobody else’s. Our families opinions don’t matter to us.
