Why is the importance of personality always phrased this way?

Why is it always “ it doesn’t matter how hot you are if you -insert negative personality trait here- I won’t date you “ and not “ it doesn’t matter how ugly you are if you -insert positive personality trait here- I’d date you”. The people asking for help on this are primarily physically unattractive folks who need advice on what else they can do/be outside of their appearance to be appealing, how does telling them that hot guys with bad personalities don’t succeed either helpful? Genuinely asking
